Joseph Hsu, brings over 25 years of experience with him to White Elephant Nantucket. Originally from Taiwan, he moved to the States when he was 12 years old, settling in Pennsylvania. After graduating from Penn State University, Joseph followed his passion for cooking working all over the country from New York City to Florida and out to Colorado. He spent12 years with Landry’s Restaurant Group, first as an Executive Chef and then as a Regional Chef supporting acquisitions and openings. Joseph moved to Indiana in 2013 working for Centerplate as an Executive Chef over multiple properties and then in 2019 he joins Coury Hospitality opened the very first Marriott’s Autograph Collection, Hotel Carmichael in the state. In addition to his passion for food, Joseph is also passionate about his community and was one of the first chefs to become involved in the Chefs Move to School program. He describes his cooking style as classic cuisine with a contemporary twist and a strong desire use uniquely local products.
