William is currently the resident Fine Wine Specialist for Coravin, Inc., based in Bedford, MA, where he is working to change consumers expectations on choice in the world of wine. After being part of the NWFF Wine Operations team for four seasons, William has taken a leadership position with the Wine Operations Team for NWFF in 2022 and is very excited to be back after two years away!William started working in fine dining at age 16, beginning as a food runner and part time dishwasher at The Mayflower Inn, a 5-star, Relais & Chateau inn in Washington, CT where he caught the wine bug. Since then, he has been a beverage director, restaurant manager, and sommelier at several Relais & Chateau and Forbes rated establishments. In his spare time, William matriculated through two of the world’s most prestigious hospitality institutions, Johnson & Wales culinary school and Cornell’s School of Hotel Administration.In Boston and surrounding areas, William began at L’Espalier and became a member of the wine team there, has run beverage programs at Sorellina and Mooo… Beacon Hill before becoming the General Manager at L’Andana in Burlington, MA, and most recently was the General Manager at 28 Atlantic at Wequassett Resort; one of 73 Forbes-rated Five Star restaurants in the world.William passed his first and second level exams with the Court of Master Sommeliers Americas on consecutive days, earning the Walter Clore scholarship for the highest score at the certified level. William has also completed the CMSA advanced course and has been a candidate for the Advanced Examination.
